Arrest Warrant Issued For Oscar Pistorius

Arrest warrant has been issued for Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius by the National Prosecuting Authority a day after the Supreme Court of Appeal found him guilty of murdering girlfriend, model and law graduate Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.

The 29-year-old double-amputee athlete is presently under house arrest in South African city of Pretoria after serving about a year of prison.

Earlier he was convicted of culpable homicide and sentenced for five years of prison.

According to the appeal court, the original trial judge had earlier made some fundamental errors in the ruling.

Also known as Blade Runner, Pistorius will now be facing 15 years or more sentence for murder.

Pistorius murdered his girlfriend on February 15 saying he mistook her for an intruder and shot four times through a locked bathroom of the bedroom.

He left jail in October after about a year seeking for community service at a Pretoria police station.
