Black Friday, Cyber Monday: hotels offers and sales

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are very important dates for the US hotels too. The shopping on these wonderful days is no longer just about getting new gadgets, but catching the best price for the hotel, spa or resort.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday guarantee the best prices for those Americans who used to live a full life and enjoy their shopping, which includes not only technics and garment but the family rest in the famous hotel too.

In 2016, Black Friday included hotels and resorts, which are offering steep discounts on room rates while occasionally throwing in extra perks such as free food and beverages. Of course, customers are free to choose from major hotel chains to smaller independent properties.

Marriott International, now the largest hotel chain in the world as a result of its purchase of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, is offering members of its Marriott Rewards program up to 25% off at more than 2,100 properties globally. Members have to book from Nov. 25 to Nov. 28 to apply the discounts to stays between Dec. 9 to Jan. 16 in the USA, Canada, Caribbean, and Latin America.

On Marriott.com, you can fix the discounts. They can be used for stays in Europe from Dec. 9 through March 31. They will apply to stays in the Middle East and Africa from Dec. 8 through Sept. 30.

The cyber rates must be booked on Marriott.com, the Marriott Mobile app or by contacting a hotel directly or at the worldwide telephone reservation centre. Travellers must use the promotional code 444. Non-members will also get discounts, but they won’t be as large. Marriott’s brands include JW Marriott, Renaissance Hotels and Courtyard.

Starwood has its own Cyber Sale going on. Guests can get discounts of up to 30% for stays through Sept. 4, 2017. Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest program will get an additional 5% off rates if they book directly through the Cyber Monday sale site. Travellers can book Cyber Monday rates at Spg.com/enroll. Starwood’s brands include Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis, and W Hotels. Since the merger of the two companies, members of the Marriott Rewards and SPG program have been able to link their accounts.

InterContinental Hotels Group starts its participating in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Nov. 28. The hotel site says it will offer a week of travel deals that will include discounts between 15% and 30% at participating properties in the USA, Caribbean, Central and South America on stays of three nights or more. Select hotels in Mexico will discount rates at 30%. Participating hotels in Canada will have 15% to 25% discounts.

Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental Hotels. This chains will also have auctions every day for hard-to-find tickets, electronics, and travel experiences. There will also be deals on IHG Rewards Club point purchases. Travellers can see the offers at ihg.com/cyber from Nov. 28, at 8 a.m. to Dec. 2 at 8 p.m.

Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brands are offering discounts of up to 40% at select hotels in destinations such as Charleston, Orlando, San Diego, and Boston. Most hotels require a two-night minimum stay. Stays must be completed by March 31.

Guests can save 25% or more at select Wyndham Garden hotels in cities such as New York City; Lake Buena Vista, Fla.; and New Orleans when they book two nights or more and stay by March 31. Sales will go live online at www.wyndhamhotels.com/blackfriday starting Nov. 25 and will last through Nov. 28.
