Christmas is a very special day of the year, and every home is trying to create winter magical atmosphere. To help add to home some festive season smell use the aromatic candle, scented pine cones or potpourri.

Essential oils are very important tool in the preparation of your home for the upcoming Christmas.

Homemade potpourri

Cinnamon and orange are main components for the Christmas smell. Replicate the smells of a traditional white Christmas with a festive simmer pot on Christmas day. Simply fill a saucepan with a bit of water, sliced apples, cinnamon sticks, orange slices and a few pine branches from your Christmas tree and leave to simmer on the stove. The concoction heats through, your home will be filled with spicy festive aromas.

Christmas room spray

Make your own Christmas scented room spray by diluting four drops of pine, two drops of mandarin and one drop of cinnamon essential oils in 1 cup of water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray around your home as desired. It is not only a nice smell but the aromatherapy at the same time.

Let your artificial tree has a natural smell, for this, just gluing four cinnamon sticks together in the shape of a snowflake. Tie some string to one of the sticks and hang on your tree.
