August 28, 2016

The study of Sweden research team demonstrates that nowadays, the patriarchy rules in the family business arena. Daughters ignored as leaders of the family business, despite all the news and improvements in the modern society. Business still remains a men’s club.

The patriarchy rules in the family business arena, says the leading author of the recent study about the place of women in the family business. There’re numerous examples proving of that women are equally fit to take over as men are. But in the family business scientists sees an old-fashioned way: daughters ignored as leaders of this kind of business.

A Recent study led by Cecilia Bjursell, leader of the National Centre for Lifelong Learning at Jönköping University in Sweden, showed an interesting picture. Only one-fourth of Norway’s CEO are women, the same situation is in the family businesses. The o little progress in the field.

The authors are very dissatisfied with such a picture of the modern business society, so little progress in the field is just unacceptable:

“My research is now a few years old, but it is obviously still relevant,”

Cecilia Bjursell says.
