Database of Muslims living in United States should be created to keep the nation safe, said Donald Trump Thursday evening following a town hall event in Iowa.
He said even more systems need to be implemented beyond databases to track Muslims and also prevent illegal immigrants. He would employ good management procedures to build up the database by making Muslims sign up it.
When asked whether Muslims would be obligated to sign up he said they have to do.
The comments of Trump follows last Friday’s Paris attacks by terror group in which at least 129 innocent people were killed and fears have been sparked across the world of similar violence apart from prompting anti-Islam rhetoric from Republican presidential candidates.
Meanwhile, the comment of Trump has been condemned by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and Ben Carson as well who top the polls for GOP nomination.
