Donald Trump: Melania and Barron will not move to the White House initially

Donald Trump as President-elect should live in his residence, traditionally, it is the White House. Of course, the President’s family also lives there. But Trump family decided to move on their official residence partially. Melania and Barron will join Donald later.

Donald Trump informed journalists on the plans of his family regarding the moving onto the White House. The President-elect will live in the White House after he takes the oath of office. Meanwhile, his wife Melania and 10-year-old son Barron will be living in New York temporarily. Such a temporary splitting the family will allow Barron to finish out the year at the same school.

When the journalist asked Mr Trump if Melania and Barron would move to Washington, he said “very soon. Right after he finishes school.” Donald Trump’s transition spokesman Jason Miller added:

‘The Trump family is energized and excited about their new role serving the country, and specifically the President-elect’s task at hand of helping to move our country forward.’

Donald Trump: transition timing

Donald Trump and his family gave no official commentary regarding transition timing. Melania Trump, a soon-to-be the First lady, is a mother too. That’s why she concerns about their son Barron who unexpectedly has to shift the schools in the middle of the year.

Donald and Melania decided that Barron will finish current year in his old school. Then Melania and son will join the father president in the White House. They would also appreciate the same privacy and security considerations given to previous First Families with regard to minor children be extended to the Trumps as well.
