Sirius XM Satellite Radio SIRI To Release I-Phone Application

An unnamed industry source has stated that the application will be out by the end of next month. Sirius XM Radio ( NASDAQ : SIRI ) recently blocked the release of a third party application, speculating that they would release their own free I-Phone application this year. www.TradeKing.com

The first sentence of that paragraph, is a complete fabrication… The company is still completely tied to the auto-industry; SIRI moved away from the retail sector quite a while ago, leading up to the merger. That move, at the time, made sense. With bankruptcy pushed aside it is time for a new retail campaign.

Sirius is not just popular with the people who purchase high-end cars. Sirius XM is very popular with the twenty-something tech crowd, which includes just about all twenty somethings. Internet radio has turned out to be much of a bust, one of the most popular forms of Internet radio is Sirius XM’s Internet stream.( Nasdaq : SIRI )

The faster the company can move back into the retail sector the better. They only have one radio that plays both Sirius and XM, which needs to be marketed. Their Sirius internet radio, also has to be marketed.
