Obama Neck and Neck With Hillary
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are neck and neck in the national polls. That would mean that it is the first time that Obama has actually competed with Clinton on a national stage. He can no longer be looked upon as the weak candidate. His once struggling organization grew up to become quite a strong one, and then political commentators wrote him off due to poor national polls… Now he has fixed that.
While Obama has been greatly helped by a few unnamed celebrity figures, Hillary only has her husband promoting her name on the big stage. Bill Clinton has been waging wars with the press and 9/11 truthers, and Hillary cannot seem to get press herself. Instead of covering one of her speeches, we are witnessing Mr. Clinton falling asleep at MLK ceremonies.

Barack Obama’s only problem has been the ailing economy. His main selling point has been his stress on “change”, especially when it comes to dealing with Iraq. With our weakening economy and fears of recession, few people are agreeing with his economic principles.
Bill Clinton is the main reason why Hillary looks so strong when it comes to economics. Having the former president behind Hillary, in some ways, is comforting to some of the American people. It also happens to be terrifying to just as many.
Right now, Obama is at the make or break point. If he cannot achieve major victories on Super Tuesday, he is out of the race and should play nice to try to get the VP nod. The democratic nomination, just like the republican nomination, will be decided on the state of the economy.
