Ron Paul is a changed man
The night was 11/28/07, the night of the CNN YouTube republican debate. A night when fools compete to see who is actually the less foolish of the bunch. Something changed that night. About three quarters into the debate, something must have clicked in Ron Paul’s head. Something that has never been apparent to Ron before, something nobody thought would ever be apparent to anybody. You could see it in his eyes, you could hear it in his voice, something changed in this man. Ron Paul realized something… that He originally thought was impossible, we might just win this thing.
Looking at the competition, realizing his support, he realized that now, more than ever, the country is ready for a change. Not a small change, something that has never been done before; this government is in need of a reset and the people want it. Ron Paul was asked to run for presidency by just a few supporters, something that would have normally amounted to nothing, amounted to something spectacular. Ron Paul for the very first time said that there is a Revolution going on. His supporters of course have used the phrase, but not Ron himself, mainly because He just didn’t believe it.
Ron Paul for the very first time realizes that He has a chance. For the very first time realized that it is his duty to serve this revolution full heartedly. He agreed to start the race, now he has agreed to finish it. Ron Paul is a changed man, changed by hundreds of thousands of his supporters. His supporters have given him the hope that he needs, now finally, He is giving the hope back to his supporters.

Good piece, thanks,
I find it amazing that no one has yet connected the dots to his decision making skills directly. He has been right on so many thing when his competitors have been wrong. Kerik, Pro-Choice, Tax hikes, even the War in Iraq. Hing sight being 20/20 he has been right all along. I can trust a man like Ron Paul as president. He has my vote.!

great piece
Comment by John D. on 30 November 2007:
Ron Paul will win, because he is we the peoples choice for president. He will not run as an independent. He will win the Republican nomination. He will win because powerful ideas like freedom, liberty and prosperity overshadow the insincere hallow rhetoric of the other candidates. He will win because we will boost him to the top of any mountain against all odds.
Comment by Jeff on 30 November 2007:
Ron Paul can win. Ron Paul should win. And with our help, Ron Paul WILL win.
Believe it.

[...] Ron Paul did this interview prior to the excellent rally speech linked below. He seems more relaxed. Is he a changed man? [...]
Comment by Juan Valdez on 30 November 2007:
Good piece, but factually incorrect. Ron has certainly used the term revolution before. Not in the debates, but he’s used it plenty of times on the campaign trail.
I know for a fact he used it in the october NYC rally; I was there to hear him firsthand
Comment by Cameron on 30 November 2007:
Ron has used the word “revolution” in campaign stops before. I love it, because the “professional” people cringe everytime the word revolution crops up. They think it’s too negative.
Ron Paul has raised over $10 million this quarter, he deserves to be considered top tier. I understand the media wants it to be only 2 or 3 contenders for the sake of conveniently being able to cover the contest. I understand they focus on Iowa and New Hampshire for the sake of convenience in covering the contest. The truth is, this race is not like those of the past. You cannot project a winner by using phone polls, the world has left that behind.
Ron Paul is going to win this race and show the world that impossible does not exist.

Go get ‘em Congressman! We’re behind you 100%

I have to agree… Dr. Paul has been right… IN ADVANCE of everyone else figuring out they were WRONG!!… And whats more… He doesn’t come out and say things like that… He doesn’t try and belittle his competition or continually remind them how wrong they were while he was RIGHT ALL ALONG…
I RESPECT that… though I do wish as a supporter he’d point it out… JUST A BIT MORE :-)!!
The man IS THE SMARTEST GUY I’VE SEEN RUN FOR PRESIDENT A BE VIABLE IN MY LIFETIME!
Comment by markH on 30 November 2007:
Ah, but Ron has only used the R-word to _us_, the converted up until now. I think you’re right, I think you’re on to something here. BTW, I noticed that during the John McCain rant, the camera shot of Dr. Paul to the side there came this glint in his eyes, and an ever-so-perceptible little smile. Oh how this man would have gone off on McCain, and indeed, I was hollering at the TV set! But Dr. Paul stood there, drew a breath, took dead aim, and… Well, suffice it to say, the pundits were lauding his response the next day, all the while us “Paulites” were clamoring for something more confrontational. He is a good leader for _our_ rEVOLution.

Not only will Ron Paul win the Republican nomination, he is going to win by a landslide!
Comment by MouthAgape on 30 November 2007:
That. Was. Beautiful.
THERE IS A REVOLUTION GOING ON!
Comment by Herb Barr on 30 November 2007:
He’s sure the best out there and the best I’ve seen in 50 years.
Comment by Jack D on 30 November 2007:
Other than here, it looks like the MSM marching orders involve promoting Huckabee endlessly. Ron Paul had 2-3 questions and limited time. He still crushed them all (how come every article forgets to include his comeback to McCain which mentioned that Ron Paul gets more Military Contributions than any other candidate?). Mitt is dead after desecrating the Confederate flag. Many Southerners died under that flag.
Unfortunately it took segregationist Governor Wallace to reveal the truth that “there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between” Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas Corpus, detaining protesters, banning books like America Deceived (book) from Amazon, warrant-less wiretapping and refusing to investigate 9/11 properly. They are both guilty of treason.
Support Dr. Ron Paul and save this great nation.
Comment by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on 1 December 2007:
I really hope you are correct!! I have watched Ron Paul on TV, on UTube and have met with him in person in DC. I was wondering when HE was going to start believing that WE THE PEOPLE want HIM as president…and that he really could win!
We resonate with his message, we know he is correct, we see what he sees. We are desparate for him to save our Constitution, and we want what he wants for our country~!
But having met with his Chief of Staff (several times) and with the Congressman himself (once) in his DC office, my impression was that he thought of running for president was, “well, why not?” I don’t think he took his candidacy seriously, as in, I don’t think he had any idea he could really win.
Think about it: His message has been the same for the many years he has been in Congress. He has always been the minority opinion and has been marginalized by both fellow Congresspersons, the Senate and the media. Having spent considerable time on the Hill, they all find Ron Paul and his message either “amusing,” or worse. No wonder he has had a struggle seeing himself as a winner for WE THE PEOPLE!
My opinion is that he though running for president was a duty, as a way to voice his opinions. I don’t think he had any idea the impact he would have on WE THE PEOPLE or that he would really have a chance to win. The Ron Paul Revolution is changing all that!
I hope that you are right: That he NOW HAS THE FEELING and BELIEF of a winner! He is making an impact on this country. I hope he can VISUALIZE the chair in the oval office and see himself sitting there!!
All the candidates have coaches…speech coaches (about tone of voice and body language) and presentation skills. Professional atheletes–even Tiger Woods–have a coach. Ron Paul could WIN IT ALL by adding little voice polish to his amazingly wonderful message. I’d encourage some leadership coaching to see himself as President and a World Leader. Maybe someone could suggest that…
GO RON PAUL!! You are standing in the gap for all of us who understand we are on resting on a razor thin edge: Between retaining our freedoms and being arrested for having an opinion.
GO RON PAUL!!
Comment by Mel on 1 December 2007:
I can’t in good conscience support Ron Paul. While I agree his views on the war, the environment, and many of his other views, he is against abortion, net neutrality, separation of church and state, and gay marriage. He has a lot of good ideas, but his views on these issues will not only lose him my vote, but the vote of many other democrats who otherwise would potentially vote for him.
Comment by Aaron on 2 December 2007:
Mel, Ron Paul is NOT against abortion! He believes in the 10th ammendment, he believes that the FEDERAL government has been given no authority to make ANY governing decision on abortion rights. He believes, in accordance the 10th ammendment, that the authority then falls to “the state, or the people.” In other words, each state could take a vote, if they wanted to. In places like Cali it would be left alone, in Kansas it would be illegal, etc.
Please read into Ron’s philosophy before making up your mind! I promise it ALL makes perfect sense, your just a little confused on what Dr. Paul believes, that is all! Good luck!
Comment by Aaron on 2 December 2007:
Mel, same thing with net neutrality, etc. Dr. Paul believes the Federal govt has NEVER been given authority over the internet, so they do NOT have the right to pass ANY governing legislation on it. Once you give them a precedent the lawyers will rape you by symantics, it has happened everytime in past. READ THE 10TH AMENDMENT!
Comment by Aaron on 2 December 2007:
You should also read up on “Original Intent of the Constitution” Google it… Our founding father’s got it right, but greed has torn us apart and we have lost sight on what truely matters.
Comment by tanstaafl on 2 December 2007:
Aaron,
Ron Paul IS against abortion; as an obstetrician who delievered 4,000 babies he’d be a considerable hypocrite if he wasn’t.
However you ARE right in your suggestion to Mel. Dr. Paul strictly obeys the Constitution, regardless of personal preferences (as should we all), and the 9th and 10th Amendments in the Bill of Rights make CRYSTAL clear that powers not SPECIFICALLY granted the Federal Government are none of the Federal government’s business.
Abortion, the definition of marriage, drug enforcement, etc. are not Federal issues and Dr. Paul recognizes that and respects that.
Mel can safely support Ron Paul without concern that that decision will somehow be used against him. Indeed, unless he wants to just go on blindly trusting the vagaries of society and the Federal government on these and other issues there is only one safe way he CAN vote: Ron Paul and pro-Republic.
The term Republic has gotten a bad name because of national politics and popular whim. In fact, it is pure democracy which is dangerous and that is why the US was founded as a Republic: to keep both Federal power and passing social insanities in check.
Comment by Paul on 3 December 2007:
I am an atheist who supports Ron Paul despite the fact that he has said some things about church & state that I do not agree with. What I can tell you is that whatever his personal beliefs on some personal matters are, he is a libertarian at heart and he will repsect your right to make your own decisions, including those about religion or atheism, I am certain of it.
I am also certain that he is exactly what America needs right now.
Also, Ron Paul is not a staunch opponent of gay marriage. He is against attempts to ban it through constitutional amendments and he is a supporter of allowing states to decide.
Comment by atv on 3 December 2007:
Yeah… I think as a matter of fact Dr. Paul HAD NEVER used the term “Revolution” on T.V. before… EVER.. at some speeches for sure but NOT on T.V.
I could think of “one” way the good Dr. would run third party… But he is sane enough not to prby even have THOUGHT about it much less say it..
“Should it be APPARENT that the vote count far under represents the visable support at the polls and at the caucuses.. I suspect rather than going into high gear Supreme Court mode… The good Dr. would just step into the third party hoping for fairer results in a general
Let’s hope that it is OBVIOUS who the winner is… whomever that is.. and the votes accurately represent what everyone sees and experiences at the cauceses and polling stations
Comment by jim carter on 28 January 2008:
Ron Paul has always been a positive politician after all he should he sticks by the Constitution of which he took an oath to God to defend andhe doesn’t take any money from lobbyist of which keeps his mind and heart free, he will never send our troops into harms way unless there is a declaration of war by our congress, most of all he doesn;t use the name of God for advancement to get a vote, he leaves that duty to the individual and to there God.
So did I thionk from the start he can win of course and I still do.
