FDA is cleaning up antibacterial soap

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made an announcement regarding the soap and content of antiseptic in it. On Friday, the FDA noted in its statement that regulates the percentage of different antibacterial substances. List of 19 ingredients outlined in FDA’s document.

FDA is very concerned that people are overusing the antibacterial substances in daily life. It is not necessary to wash the body three times a day with the triclosan soap. Of course, it will remove the bacteria, but it will remove ANY bacteria, good and bad ones.

A study in Environmental Health Perspectives found triclosan in 74.6% of urine samples. That’s why the recent initiative of FDA aimed at the responsible using of “antibacterial” or “antiseptic” products. See the list from FDA with the ingredients of antibacterial soap.
