Nicole Kidman leads cinema’s elite of the Cannes Film Festival

Nicole Kidman isn’t going to slow down, the Australian-born star will one of the brightest stars at the upcoming Cannes International Film Festival with her several works. So far, critics praised her Lion and HBO series Big Little Lies.

Nicole Kidman is one of the greatest living actresses, she has appeared in four different screenings last year, all of them will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The 49-year-old beauty spent a really hard and interesting year, she played absolutely different characters in three dramas and one serious TV-series Top of the lake.

Cannes Festival is the annual the two-week event where all cinema stars presented,
the festival will run from 17 to 28 May 2017.

Nicole Kidman’s movies for Cannes 2017

The movie by Sofia Coppola The Beguiled will show a real star-studded cast, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Colin Farrell play beside Kidman and show the lives of people during the American Civil War. The critics say Coppola’s drama is worth the Palme d’Or, time will show, however.

Another Nicole Kidman film nominated for the prestigious award is The Killing of a Sacred Deer, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Her third film entry How to Talk to Girls at Parties is a sci-fi romantic comedy directed by John Cameron Mitchell is unfortunately not up for any award, but will still be screened during the festival.

And the most anticipated is, of course, the second season of the mystery drama series Top of the Lake – will premiere its second season, titled China Girl. Nicole Kidman was just happy to work beside Elizabeth Moss, both actresses have the deepest respect for each other.
