Prince’s Paisley Park complex in October becomes a museum: every fan can buy a ticket and visit the wonderful home of the star. The trustees for Prince’s estate announced this news on Wednesday, the museum project will be launched in partnership with the King’s estate. Opening date is October 6.
Prince’s home Paisley Park will be a museum, said his trustee’s estate on August 24. Tyka Nelson, Prince’s sister, made a statement, in which explained the idea.
“Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now, fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time as we open the doors to this incredible place.”
Prince’s estate got such an opportunity thanks to the Graceland Holdings LLC, which is operating in the Graceland mansion, home of Elvis Presley’s in Memphis, since 1982.
A 65,000-square-foot complex Paisley Park is situated on 9 acres in Chanhassen, the complex opened in 1987 at a cost of $10 million. Its recording studios during many years rented to other artists like Barry Manilow, Steve Miller and the Bee Gees. The price for a 70-minute tour up to 30 guests on Paisley Park will cost $38.50, with $100 for the VIP tours.
