Mainstream Media is Ron Paul’s most fierce competitor
Everybody who is a Ron Paul supporter will tell you that Paul’s most fierce competitor is none other than the main stream media. Every major interview Paul has partaken in he seems to have been served a “you know you will not win right”? Ron Paul seems to be asked this all the time, but if you actually look at the revolution, you get the feeling like there is a chance.
Look at the current crop of candidates on the republican side. Take a look at the poll averages from the past year… who has not topped that national poll list? Tancredo, Hunter, and Paul have never grazed from being on the top of the polls. Huckabee shoots up, 20% in some polls, to be clearly winning in some states. Huckabee went from zero to the top, in just a matter of two weeks. Support for these candidates is very fickle. Huckabee does seem to be very good at defusing bad situations, but it looks like he has his hands full with the attacks about the Wade Dumont case.
Ron Paul must answer the question “will you run as a third party candidate?” five times a day. Instead of asking the man real questions about his believes on policies, they try to ask the same question numerous times. Ron Paul also does not get a significant time at the debates as the current “top tier”. Huckabee used these few opportunities during the debate to capitalize and say witty statements that had nothing to do with actually answering the question. Ron Paul disagrees with all the candidates on how to handle just about every issue, so his quick time is spent explaining his views. Huckabee can afford to joke, because his views are about the same as the other candidates. Or, Huckabee just does not answer the questions because he is more liberal than the other candidates and would rather people not hear his views.
The Ron Paul blimp will surely help realize that the Ron Paul story, is by far the most exciting one to follow on the campaign trail. If the Tea Party raises the 10 million projected, in one day, expect Ron Paul to surge in the polls. If that does not cause him to surge, he may just have to wait till the end of the year FEC reports are released. Those reports will show that he is the only republican candidate that can match the democrats in fund raising, if not surpass them. With these three events, the media surely will not be able to dismiss Ron Paul placing first, second, or third in the early primaries.

I’m glad people are getting the message about the evils of the Big elitist media.
At a meeting tonight of national caucus voters, after someone mentioned how bad the media has become, I went out on a limb and made this rather bold statement, expecting at least some objection:
“The Mainstream media, owned mostly by just a half-dozen corporations, has done more damage to America than any Muslim suicide bomber – by not reporting the real news that matters, not reporting what the government and elitists are really up to, distracting would-be voters with mindless “entertainment” and otherwise dumbing-down Americans.”
To my surprise, no one dissented, and most all nodded their heads in agreement.
I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, this wasn’t a group of average Joes and Janes, these were concerned voters. But still… I guess there is hope for America!

I commend Bruce for standing up and speaking truth, but I’ll bet dollars to donuts all those concerned voters (and they probably ARE), went home and switched on Bill O’Reilly or Hannity (the Toad!), and began nodding their heads just like they did at the meeting.
It’s total saturation brainwashing. They (the media) are in complete control of the people! And the Media is in the complete control of a small group of very powerful men (if ant women in that group, ok women too)(Faye Dunaway?)
