The FBI said Friday they are treating the San Bernardino attack as an act of terrorism and to find out whether the married couple acted alone inspired by foreign Islamist radicals or they had more elaborate plot.
The 29-year-old Chicago-born Syed Rizwan Farook and his 27-year-old wife Tashfeen Malik were not been suspected of posing any danger but searching their house police found 2,000 9-millimeter handgun rounds, 2,500 .223 caliber rounds, twelve pipe bombs, and several tools that can be used in making improvised explosive devices.
The exact motives of the two are yet to be understood but meanwhile the Islamic State terror group said Saturday two of their supporters carried out the attacks.
Praising the attacks the group stopped short of referring the two their members.
FBI further added the Pakistani woman Tashfeen had pledged on Facebook her allegiance to the ISIS leader.
