Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed his desire to play another villain in a Batman movie, Warner Bros is ready to give the ‘Terminator’ star such opportunity.

Schwarzenegger after his visit to Australia revealed the plans for the future films, the star said he would like to perform the role of the villain in the Warner Bros’ Batman. This franchise has an uncertain future but the WB bosses intend to continue it on.

So far, Warner Bros is thinking on the antagonist and protagonist, and Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to play the negative character in the forthcoming Batman. According to the Hollywood A-lister, the role of villain is a brilliant opportunity for him.

Probably, Mr Freeze seemed like a bit too much for Schwarzenegger though the producers can see him playing an agewise villain, someone like a Rupert Thorne type. That character may be more Arnold’s speed.

Arnold Schwarzenegger about negative character

Arnold not only would play the villain in Batman, but he sounded very enthusiastic about the prospect. Here is what he had to say about it,

“Absolutely! I think all of those movies, if they’re written well, they’re entertaining. If it’s Batman or Batman and Robin, or X-Men or Spider-Man, all of them. If they’re written well, they have a great life. People enjoy them, and you can see the grosses that they make worldwide. So, yes, of course, I would.”

Schwarz’s performance as Mr Freeze in Batman & Robin (1997) was really memorable. The fans have a fondness for this character, but not necessarily because they think he is a great villain in the pantheon of great movie villains. Probably, the role like a Rupert Thorne type will be more suitable for Arnold now, time will show.
