Serena Williams looks glowing as she relaxes courtside to watch the tennis during French Open

Pregnant Serena Williams enjoys tennis on the tribunes of the French Open. This year, the ex-first tennis racquet of the world is watching the matches courtside.

The legendary tennis player Serena Williams is expecting her first child, that is the reason for her absence on the clay courts Roland Garros in 2017. The fiancee of Alex Ohanian made the most of her six-month-pregnant state and relaxed courtside instead on Tuesday, during the French Open in Paris.

Serena used to showcase her killing forehand on centre court in front of hundreds of spectators but not this year. In plans of soon-to-be-parents Serena and Alex is only their first child. Ms Williams, the 23-time major champion winner, is due to give birth in September, and now she looked every inch the glowing mother-to-be as she soaked up the sun.

On Tuesday, Serena seemed content to take a backseat from the limelight, tucking into a banana as she watched the sport. The sporting ace, who has been supporting her sister, Venus, at Roland Garros this week, looked chic in a white Nike vest and black leggings.

Serena has already informed her fans that after giving birth to her first child she is back to the tennis. The athlete has no plans to retire but win again. Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena’s coach, confirmed to Omnisport in Paris:

‘We had a talk here this week and we had already talked before’.

So far, the athlete prefers to keep the baby’s gender a surprise for the ‘special’ day they welcome the tot. Williams said:

‘I think the surprise of knowing what you are going to have on that very special day you give birth is prob the best surprise you can ever have!’
