The Great Britain is waiting for its new prime minister, and as of today, Theresa May is the sole contender.
Theresa May represents the governing Conservative Party, and current PM race lost its intrigue today. Andrea Leadsom unexpectedly leaves the race, so May becomes the sole contender to be Britain’s next PM. However, Leadsom in its resigning letter praised May calling her “ideally placed to implement Brexit on the best possible terms for the British people.”
The governing Conservative Party may add another candidate, the Party has enough time for choosing the best PM: Cameron’s successor should be announced on September 9. There’s a chance that May would automatically become the next PM. If so, Theresa May will become the next woman after Thatcher who deserved to be a prime minister in the UK.
