UFC 207: Ronda Rousey beaten in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes

Ronda Rousey came back but this her move was definitely wrong. She was knock outed in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes, so Ronda’s UFC comeback didn’t crown by success.

The first fight of Rousey (12-2) in more than a year transformed into the giant loss. It took 48 seconds only to Amanda Nunes to beat her opponent. Last Friday night became black for Rousey, she is losing to bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

The Brazilain fighter Nunes (14-4) rocked Ronda with her very first punches. Despite Rousey’s little defensive acumen, the unstoppable Nunes relentlessly pursuing her and landing 27 punches in the brief bout. Nunes made a show, shouting:

“Forget about Ronda Rousey! She’s going to go do movies. Forget about her. She has a lot of money already.”

Ronda Rousey: the future in UFC is unclear

UFC 207 and Rousey’s failure arose many questions, the future of this fighter is still unclear in the terms of professional sport. The brightest star in the women’s game left the arena without giving any explanations, the fans interpreted such a behaviour like a considering retirement shortly before her 30th birthday.

“That’s it for her. For sure, she’s going to retire,”

commented Amanda.

Referee Herb Dean stopped the bout with Rousey still on her feet, and Rousey briefly protested the stoppage before leaving the cage in her mother’s arms. Nunes put her finger to her lips and circled the cage after the stoppage, pausing to taunt Rousey’s much-maligned coach, Edmond Tarverdyan.

Joy for Amanda Nunes after she retains her title.

“Her coach put some crazy things in her head, and her career started going down. I’m the real striker here,”

said Nunes.
