When the FBI and CIA are editing the information we are getting from our learning tools there is a huge problem. Yes wikipedia can be edited by anyone, but close parties to the news are not allowed to edit that news. I firmly believe that the government should stay out of the press, or anything we do for that matter. They should not be slanting what is presented on wikipedia. I doubt they are editing it so the mothers of lost children can see how many more people have died. The government is really going to and is having a hard time in this information age. They do scan all of our emails, and just about everything else we look at. Ever hear of Carnivore? I would link wikipedia but I am sure they have edited that too. Paranoid? Yes, yes I am. But what I am trying to get at is that the government can’t control all of the news outlets anymore. Web 2.0 creates it all too hard for them. We need to fight government censorship, but just not tolerating it. This news article I am talking about did just that. This topic gets me so angry because we are paying for them to be doing this in the first place!
