These ratings come from a study by Scott Rasmussen. Some of the results I still find suprising. Many candidates that their own party wants to hang, are still adored by the opposition. Rudi Giuliani has the highest favorable rating, but has a very high unfavorable rating. While high, his unfavorable rating is no match for Clinton’s who is the most hated candidate of them all. So going by this poll it would mean Giuliani would beat Clinton head to head. Though as soon as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama join forces not any republican duo could beat them. People still have a lot of respect for John McCain, and why wouldn’t they? He is a hero, just not in the republican polls.
Mike Huckabee is becoming more and more well known. As is Ron Paul, but not in the best of ways. Though I do have to imagine most of those 18% would vote for the man. You like Ron Paul or you think he ruins the republican name more than President George W. Bush. I still will laugh when this quarters fund raising totals come in and puts Ron Paul 3rd/4th in most money raised.

favorable polls are much different, than your typical who will you vote for? They give a more complete picture on what the country thinks. More than half the people that like Giuliani, may not vote for him. But you get to tell who is hated, and who is generally liked.
