Ron Paul needs to raise his quarter goal publicly

Why? 12 million is just not enough. 12 million is practically, in the bag. 12 million will not send the right message. 12 million is just not enough. Ron Paul has already raised 8.1 million this quarter. That amount should, and will be doubled. Ron Paul will surpass 12 million on Dec 16, even if nobody donates between now and then…

Ron Paul raises, typically, $50,000 a day. If this was maintained, it would be an additional 2.5 million. The problem is, expect this number to continue to escalate towards the end of the quarter. I guess that really is not a problem, is it? I suspect, excluding Dec 16, Ron Paul can easily raise an additional 4 million, without sweating. If he decides to sweat and really set the bar high, Ron Paul could eclipse 20 million for the quarter.

Dec 16 alone, is practically a guaranteed 4 million. I suspect that the date, will be much more popular than nov 5th. Dec 16 is Boston Tea Party day, something people can get behind unlike Nov 5th. My prediction is for 8 million, with 10 million within reach. But will the general population donate if the quarter goal is already met? The goal needs to be raised sooner, instead of later. The campaign needs to show that they have started spending the money raised thus far. The campaign needs to show that they are expanding operations so that they can spend 20+ million smartly. They have been doing both of these, but really need to pick up the pace. Ron Paul is polling at 7% nationally, if a full 20 million is spent he could be polling in the teens. If Ron Paul starts polling in the mid teens, people will start realizing that he is a viable candidate if they have not already.

Ron Paul has the money and the support to win, more and more people will realize this. Most, if not all, of the movement of this campaign has been fueled by the grassroots efforts. The more and more the official campaign steps in, the higher and higher Ron Paul will go.

  1. I don’t think the goal set by the campaign has much to do with how much we give. We give because Ron Paul’s campaign excites us. It’s far more exciting for supporters to exceed the goals (especially if it’s spectacularly so) than to fall short or get discouraged because they’re chasing a moving target. Changing the goal would be bad mojo and could demoralize the donors.

Let’s do $20M when the goal is $12M. That’s exciting, and it makes a far better set of news cycles.

    Sorry about this,

  3. They will raise the amount after Dec 16th.
