Stephen Colbert denied name on ballot. Will he give up?
Stephen Colbert was denied. The democratic party of South Carolina overwhelmingly voted to not allow Colbert on the ballot. Colbert paid the city $2500 as required but that will soon be refunded. Colbert also failed to get his name on the ballot on the republican side, that fee was $35,000.
Poor Stephen Colbert… I am sure that Colbert will make the best of this and encourage to write his name in. That of course, is more free press for the show. You are a marketing genius my friend. I have no doubt that the “I am America” candidate will inspire people to go vote for him.
Expect to see bumps in the polls for Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee… I am kidding… Was Colbert ever a factor? Congratulations Colbert you received more buzz in a week than most of your fellow candidates have gotten the whole year. And even if you don’t win your electoral seat… you have won over millions of Americans.
