I agree a lot more people are willing to run and do things. My goal was more of to rally other especially those just getting interested in politics.

To the Gravel and Kucinich fans: I do apologize for leaving them out. I'm focused on RP so much I overlooked them in my zest to write this article. Although I disagree with almost 90% of his views, After Paul (who I agree with 90% of the time) I would gladly vote for Kucinich. Even though I disagree with socialism, I vote for an honest socialist over a dishonest conservative.

Thanks for you comments. I appreciate the feedback.

Agreed. When 2008 is over...we must carry on this effort. We must teach our children. We must continue to educate ourselves on these principles so we can accurately and confidently teach them and defend. Yes, we are working to nominate RP, but the grassroots have been lit up--we have an effective tool, the internet, to organize and stay together, and when all is said and done (2008) we should not disband and quietly go about our business. Educate ourselves, family, and friends, and continue to be involved with what's going on and hold our elected stewards (locally and nationally) accountable.

I think that the point should be that Dr. Paul is spearheading and bringing focus to a movement that hopefully will transcend a single individual. Single individuals are limited in what they can achieve. It is when thousands leading to millions stand up and say that things must change that this can be realized. Please, PLEASE, all you Ron Paul supporters, resolve to carry this torch continuously, through 2008 and beyond. Freedom and liberty must be defended, exercised, and asserted perpetually to assure its survival. Else we become corporate property.

Ron Paul is viewed as a "radical", that's why there are few others like him. Electing him to office would hopefully open the door for more like-minded people to run for office after him.

Rep Kucinich also stands for the rule of law as does former Sen Mike Gravel. The remaining candidates look to use Bush abuse of the constitution as precident for their power grab. The problem facing the nation is a complete breakdown of the system of checks and balances. We have a power monger in the white house, idiots in the congress and a political judicial bench in the court. not only that but there is a failure of government at state and local levels. 9/11 was used by bush to grab power and do whatever he wanted. it should have been the duty of the people or at least local elected officials to tell the fed that its not their business to regulate how things are done at the local level. until americans care about thier personal liberties and hold local officials accountable, how to we expect to get Lary Craig to resign from the Senate or Dick Chenye to realize he is part of the executive branch of the fed?

Come on. You are worried about who's gonna take his place after two terms? Thats more than ridiculous. 2 years ago you had no idea who Ron Paul was so worrying about about years from now is absurd. Focus on just getting him to be the nominee at this point.

We needs hundreds and eventually thousands of candidates who are willing to run and win office at all levels of government. There are some now, but the list is growing quickly. See LibertyCongress.org and RonPaulsAcrossAmerica.com for a few that you can support. In a pinch, you can always vote Libertarian.
