Even The Vampire Diaries has an official expiration date, say the showrunners. The producers decided to end this thrilling and romantic story with the Season 8. Such a news has been announced at Saturday’s Comic-Con panel, Julie Plec confirmed the final of vampires’ series.
The Vampire Diary id going to end forever, said its creator and showrunner Plec last night on the Comic-Con. She announced season 8 as the series’ last:
“This is going to be the final season. … It’s bittersweet and emotional and we’re going to be crying about this in a few minutes.”
Actually, this news doesn’t come as a surprise to die-hard fans. The actors hinted at the end of ‘Diaries’, Nina Dobrev exit at the end of season 6, and both Somerhalder and Graham didn’t exclude probable farewell in recent months.
Some fans panicked, indeed, especially for those young people who made The Vampire Diaries the part of their lives. Maybe, it’s time to say goodbye to the characters of lovely series? The Vampire Diaries kicks off its last eighth season on Friday, October 21 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
