The Every Man American Dream and the Rand Paul Moneybomb
Author’s note: I loved the effect of music included with the Haiti post a few days back, so please indulge me by listening to this song while reading the post. Thank You. And may God bless your path.
“Art is long, life is short, and success is a very long way off.”
-Joseph Conrad
Fireworks crack and echo in the distance and we find ourselves at the precipice of this American dream.
We are feeding ourselves on borrowed time (and borrowed money) and I try not to pay attention because the reality only causes anxiety (which leads to anger) and this is a time when cool heads must prevail.
Old sunshine swims on, and thereby heats the cream brick buildings and I stare.
The angels dine in the timeless eternal castle and wait.
Somewhere she hurts and then she makes herself forget. I can’t say I understand but I know. We are destroying the hers and destroying ourselves. Why? The answer is complex but it has to do with freedom and her relief from the pressure.
Its getting closer, please Lord bless us with a breeze. And He does, then the world finally clicks.
And clicks.
For a time it gets easier to understand, I pounce, but I pounce too hard.
I talked about the stars with a stranger last night and she smiled but I’ll never see her again.
You can go ahead and scream creating echoes that reverb amongst the city’s buildings to make you feel better, but it may just create panic inside of someone that somebody loves. Because in the end most citizens don’t understand.
Get on my level if the moon is out. It ain’t to high and you have the youthful energy. Me…I’m tired, and they have seen it all before.
No person in America starves but they crave, and sometimes that is worse.
I find gospel tunes on low frequency radio stations and then my apartment is filled with hope.
“Get with it kiddo” as Dylan once uttered to Donovan in a crowded London hotel room. He got it. Do we? Probably not but we can’t stop trying.
Craving.
What do we crave?
Freedom probably, as we should.
What then is the answer kids?
Peter Schiff, Rand Paul and Adam Kokesh.
Rand Paul moneybomb August 20th. Donate early and donate often. Last best hope kids. Time is desperate and the sunset is here.
America with the Liberty movement is the last best hope for this universe. No exaggeration implied.
But yet, enjoy the summer kids, because you only get so many in your youth. You will know when you begin to feel the fatigue.
Run wild on the playgrounds and laugh.
I remember my brother and I, what seems like ages ago, batting around tennis balls, acting like it was the end of the world. How I long for those days.
Now the world to me seems nothing but deadly serious and the walls are closing in. However, it’s ok, because I have the truth on my side.
We have the valuable truth on our side.
Thanks for the indulgence, if you hated it, I’m sorry, but I needed it to move forward.
(For Kelly, wherever and however you may be)
