A fire caused by an explosion in the Turkish port of Samsun has been extinguished, and there are no casualties, the city administration said in a statement.

An explosion thundered in the Turkish port of Samsun, a fire started, A Haber TV channel reported earlier.

“The explosion occurred in one of the fuel tanks where waste oils received from ships in the port of Samsun were stored due to heating at about 11.15 (coincides with Moscow time). The fire was extinguished by the fire brigade in a short time, there were no victims or injured,” – said in a statement released Friday on Twitter.
