A Japanese princess has been diagnosed with cancer.

Doctors have diagnosed 67-year-old Japanese Princess Nobuko, widow of the late Prince Tomohito Mikasa, with early-stage breast cancer, the Kyodo news agency reported, citing the Imperial Household Office.

It is noted that Princess Nobuko will be admitted to Keio University Hospital on November 16, and the operation will be performed on November 19.
