A large-scale power outage has occurred in Estonia

Large-scale power outages have occurred in Estonia, leaving the country’s second largest city of Tartu and its surroundings without electricity, the ERR broadcasting company reports.

“On Tuesday evening, a significant part of Tartu was left without electricity… Local residents have reported power outages outside of Tartu as well. For example, in the village of Vastse-Kuust in Pylvamaa, as well as in New Tartumaa,” the publication  on the ERR website says.

It is noted that one of the largest hospitals in the country, the University of Tartu Clinic, was also left without electricity.

It is specified that the cause of the malfunction was caused by problems that occurred during scheduled repair work.
