About 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers will be trained in the Czech Republic.

About 4,000 Ukrainian servicemen will be trained in the Czech Republic in 2022-2023, this proposal by Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova was approved by the government of the republic, Czech Radio reported.

“The government agreed with the proposal of the head of the Ministry of Defense to train Ukrainian military personnel in the republic in five four-week cycles of 800 people each, the total cost of this will amount to 975 million crowns (about $ 40 million),” the report says.


About 700 servicemen of the mechanized battalion, 40 people from the support unit, 30 doctors, 10 chemical protection specialists and 20 engineering troops should take part in the first training camp, which will take place this year. Classes with the remaining four groups will be held in 2023.
