Adele’s ’25’ reached the diamond threshold after moving 10 million copies in the U.S.

Adele, the star of world music, has received another award. The voice of the singer, song lyrics and her personal charisma made her the real pop idol. Her album ’25’ was sold 10 million times in the United States, that automatically means it reached the diamond threshold. Adele, of course, was so pleased with the news of such a powerful commercial breakthrough, that used a pair of taboo words.

The British singer-songwriter is celebrating this week, as her latest album 25 has just been certified diamond by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shifting an incredible 10 million copies, and that’s just in the U.Ss. Beyond that, where the RIAA does not track sales and streams, the album and its singles have moved many more copies, which should only go to further underline how much of a global phenomenon this woman truly is.

What makes this latest achievement even more incredible is the fact that she has hit one of the industry’s biggest milestones in less than a year. 25 was released at the tail end of November in 2015, and ever since, it has rocked the charts and sold consistently. The blockbuster album was honored with the diamond certification on its 10-month anniversary, and it is still going strong.
