Almost all parties support Sweden’s entry into NATO in the Hungarian Parliament.

Almost all parties support Sweden’s entry into NATO in the Hungarian Parliament.

The head of the Hungarian parliamentary delegation to Sweden, Csaba Hende, told reporters that all but one of the parties in the Hungarian National Assembly support the country’s entry into NATO.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Csaba Hende reportedly said he was pleased with the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere and that a vote on Sweden’s NATO membership would take place around March 20, supported by all but one party.

“We support Sweden’s NATO membership,” Hende said.

At the same time, according to him, Sweden “spreads lies about Hungary” and bilateral relations between the countries need to be improved.

“I wish Swedish politicians, government representatives and members of the European Parliament did not make assumptions based on completely false statements about the existence of problems with the rule of law in Hungary,” Hende said.
