An air raid alert has been issued in southern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

“Siren sounds are heard in the southern part of Israel,” the country’s defense army said in a statement on Twitter.

According to the military, two rockets were fired at the southern regions of Israel from the Gaza Strip. Both missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
The rocket attack came after clashes between Palestinians and Israeli troops in the West Bank city of Jenin, which left at least 10 Palestinians dead.
