An American mercenary who fought on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was killed in Ukraine

The report says: former American Marine Cooper Andrews, who participated in the fighting on the side of the AFU, died near Artemovsk.

According to the mercenary’s mother, her 26-year-old son left his native Ohio for Ukraine in November. Andrews died, presumably, on April 19, while his contract with the Foreign Legion ended in March.

“We can confirm the death of an American citizen in Ukraine. We are in contact with the family of the deceased and are providing all possible consular support. Out of respect for the feelings of the family at this difficult time, we are not ready to provide additional details,” the official representative of the US State Department said.
