An Estonian NGO has stopped aid to Ukraine due to suspicions of embezzlement.

The Council of the Estonian non-profit association Slava Ukraini, which is engaged in helping Ukraine, decided to suspend payments to Kyiv in connection with suspicion of misuse of funds by Ukrainian partners.

The NPO reports that the advisory board and board received warning signs about the reliability of the two Ukrainian partners.

“After the meeting of the council of the NCO, it was decided to organize an audit and suspend money transfers to the territory of Ukraine,” the NCO’s press release says.

NGO Slava Ukraini collected 6.5 million euros in donations in support of the Kyiv regime during the hostilities in Ukraine.

The head of the NGO, Johanna-Maria Lehtme, received 5,260 votes in the list of the Estonia 200 party in the parliamentary elections held on March 5, which secured her a parliamentary mandate.
