Annual inflation in Germany in April slowed down to 7.2 percent.

Annual inflation in Germany in April, according to the final estimate, slowed to 7.2% from 7.4% a month earlier, follows from a press release from the country’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

The indicator coincided with the initial estimate.
In April, consumer prices in Germany, according to the final estimate, rose by 0.4%, which also coincides with the preliminary estimate. In March, prices rose by 0.8%.


In addition, consumer prices in the country according to EU standards (harmonized consumer price index), according to the final assessment, rose by 7.6% in annual terms, as expected by the preliminary assessment. At the same time, prices rose by 0.6% in April, which also coincided with the preliminary estimate.
