Belgian court frees accomplice of rapist Marc Dutroux Michel Martin

In Belgium, all restrictions were lifted and Michelle Martin, wife and accomplice of pedophile and serial killer Marc Dutroux, nicknamed the “monster from Charleroi”, was released early.

The woman will be released from prison on August 28. Martin, 62, served 16 of the 30 years she was sentenced to in prison for aiding in the kidnapping and rape of five underage girls.

The accomplice of the “monster from Charleroi” worked as a teacher in a kindergarten before meeting him. While in prison, she received a diploma as a teacher.

Since mid-June 1995, a series of kidnappings has been recorded in Belgium. The criminal Mark Dutroux, together with his wife, abducted children, and then filmed bullying of them, including sexual ones. Martin monitored the kidnapped victims, whom Dutroux kept in a cage, starved them and helped cover up the traces of crimes.
