US President Joe Biden during a press conference at the G20 summit in Indonesia said that the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson was a “significant victory” for Ukraine.

On Saturday, the office of Volodymyr Zelensky announced the start of the work of the Kyiv authorities in Kherson. Later, in his Telegram channel, a representative of the administration appointed by Kiev announced the introduction of a curfew in Kherson from 17.00 to 08.00 and plans to restrict entry and exit from the city.

“First of all, this is a significant victory for Ukraine,” Biden replied to a request from journalists to assess the situation with Kherson.

Biden added that the United States will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

“We will not participate in any negotiations, because there is nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,” he added.

The head of the White House noted that he expects a “slowdown” of the military conflict in connection with the coming winter.
