Democratic President Joe Biden is set to run for President of the United States in 2024. At the end of July, based on an SSRS poll, 75% of Biden’s supporters were against his nomination for a second term. However, the current president is confident amid incidents with the 45th US President Donald Trump, who previously announced his intention to run for the presidency.

“The president said he plans to run again,” said senior adviser to the incumbent, Anita Dunn.

Mr. Biden is going to officially announce his intention to participate in the elections after the November 2022 midterm elections to Congress.

According to a CNN poll, Donald Trump’s rating is at the level of 30%. FiveThirtyEight, a site that specializes in analysis and polls, posted statistics according to which 40% of Americans approve of Mr. Biden as president.

Nevertheless, the current head of the United States is confident of his victory due to the fall in public confidence in Donald Trump. The 45th president’s ratings plummeted due to raids at Mr. Trump’s residence, where FBI agents were looking for documents related to nuclear weapons, and also due to the capture of the Capitol by protesters in 2021, who were provoked by Mr. Trump’s speeches. According to a study by FiveThirtyEight, Donald Trump’s approval rating during his presidency was about the same as that of Joe Biden – 40%.

However, some Democrats believe that Mr. Biden’s potential rival in the upcoming election will be Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and not Mr. Trump.
