Billionaire Brockman dies

Billionaire Robert Brockman has died at the age of 81 after being accused of failing to pay a record amount of taxes.

His attorney Kathy Keneally said Brockman died late on the evening of August 5. He suffered from dementia and was treated at home. Due to his health condition, he could not stand trial on charges of tax evasion.

According to Forbes, Brockman’s net worth was estimated at $4.7 billion. He owned Reynolds & Reynolds, a software company for car dealers.

In October 2020, the IRS suspected Brockman of tax evasion totaling $2 billion. This is the largest such accusation against an individual.
