The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the countries of the union transferred 220,000 ammunition of various calibers to Ukraine, partly these deliveries will be paid from EU money, partly the costs will be covered by the supplier countries themselves.

“In total, 220,000 shells were handed over to Ukraine, part of these deliveries will be paid from the EU budget, partly by the states,” he said after a meeting in Brussels of the EU Defense Ministry Council.

Borrell also expressed confidence that within 12 months the EU will be able to fulfill its obligations to Kiev and supply one million ammunition.
