Britain will support the work of the IAEA in Ukraine with money.

The UK has announced £750,000 in funding for the IAEA to support its work on nuclear security in Ukraine, the British Foreign Office said in a statement.

The UK announced an additional £750,000 funding to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at its Board of Governors meeting in Vienna on Wednesday to support its mission in Ukraine.

The text of the statement notes that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, the UK has already allocated 5 million pounds to support the work of the IAEA in Ukraine. This funding, according to the British government, will help ensure the provision of advice to the government of Ukraine on nuclear safety issues, and will also help train specialists in methods for detecting radiological materials and conducting expert investigations at nuclear power plants.
