Britain’s defense strategy has been updated to take into account China’s growing influence in the world.

The updated defense strategy of Britain contains new measures in the field of economy and technology against the background of the growth of China’s influence, the British Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.

“The updated strategy outlines how the UK will adapt its approach to China to meet the epochal challenge posed by the Chinese Communist Party’s growing military, financial and diplomatic activities of increasing concern. It contains new measures to strengthen the UK’s economic security and technological capabilities in the face of this threat,” the British government said in a statement.

According to the statement, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has outlined a coherent approach for the British government towards China, which should be based on national interests and agreed with British allies.
