Britain’s permanent representative to the UN condemned the sabotage at Nord Stream.

Britain’s permanent representative to the UN condemned the sabotage at Nord Stream.

Britain condemns the sabotage at Nord Stream and supports the investigation of Germany, Sweden and Denmark, Thomas Phipps, a representative of the British Permanent Mission, said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

“The UK condemns acts of sabotage against the Nord Stream gas pipeline,” Phipps said.

“London welcomes the letter from Denmark, Sweden and Germany informing UN member states that the investigation is ongoing, he said. The UK fully supports these technical investigations by the competent national authorities and looks forward to their results,” he added.

Earlier, Russia prepared a draft resolution of the UN Security Council calling on the Secretary General of the organization to create a commission to investigate the sabotage at Nord Stream.
