British Challenger tanks may arrive on the front lines in Ukraine before the summer.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that British Challenger 2 tanks could arrive on the front lines in Ukraine before the summer, in May or closer to Easter.

“Obviously, for security reasons, I can’t give an exact timeline. But I can say: it all starts with learning how to work individually on platforms (tanks), and then learning how to combine with formed units to fight together as a formed unit, and only then these tanks will arrive (to the front line). I can say it will be before the summer, in May or closer to Easter,” he said, answering the deputy’s question, when British tanks will appear on the front line in Ukraine.

Earlier, British Deputy Defense Minister Alex Chuck said that the UK plans to supply Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine at the end of March, and training of the Ukrainian military to service them will begin on Monday this week.
