German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock opposed the ceasefire in Ukraine and Donbass on Russian terms.

In an interview with the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, she spoke out against a ceasefire on Moscow’s terms – according to Burbock, such an option would not end “the horror for the people of Ukraine, but vice versa.”

She also noted that she had no hope for an early ceasefire. To do this, said the head of German diplomacy, Russian President Vladimir Putin needs “only to give his soldiers the order to retreat.”
