Canadian General Trevor Kadier, who fought in Ukraine, was accused of sexual assault

Retired Canadian Forces Lieutenant General Trevor Kadia has been charged with sexual assault almost 30 years ago.

According to the CTV channel, citing General Simon Trudeau, the charges are related to two episodes that allegedly took place in 1994 at the Royal Military College in Kingston (Ontario).

The ex-general was due to take over as commander of the Canadian Land Forces in September 2021, but due to an investigation by the military police, his appointment was suspended. Kadier denied all accusations against him. He retired in April 2022. After that, he allegedly went to Ukraine to fight on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU).

Earlier, US Army soldier Erin Scanlon told the public about the case of rape by a special forces soldier from the Delta squad and the arbitrariness of the military court, which acquitted the rapist and deleted all the case materials. The woman claims she was raped on September 9, 2016 at a party hosted by suspect Cristobal López Vallejo. The Delta operative was found not guilty, but no transcripts or records other than the trial transcript remained.
