China sent 21 aircraft and 5 ships to Taiwan

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) sent 21 aircraft and five warships to Taiwan, according to the island’s Defense Ministry.

“As of 17:00 (12:00 Moscow time) on August 17, the Taiwanese armed forces recorded the activity of 21 aircraft and five ships in the sea and airspace near Taiwan,” the statement said.

It is noted that five aircraft crossed the so-called “middle line” of the Taiwan Strait, including two Su-30 fighters, two J-11s and one Y-8 electronic intelligence aircraft.
