Chinese Foreign Minister says US is trying to challenge China’s sovereignty over Taiwan

The United States is challenging China’s sovereignty over Taiwan and is deliberately seeking to create an incident in the Taiwan Strait. Member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi said this today, August 2, during his working trip to the states of Central Asia.

“Individuals in the US are constantly challenging China’s sovereignty over the Taiwan issue, emasculating the One China policy, and even deliberately trying to artificially create an incident in the Taiwan Strait,” he was quoted as saying on the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s website.
