In the Chinese city of Chengdu, a strict quarantine was introduced in one of the cities in connection with the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The decision to lockdown was made after 157 cases of COVID-19 were registered on August 31. The number of infected in a week exceeded 700 people.


On September 1, mass testing of residents began in the city. According to the quarantine rules, citizens must stay at home, except in exceptional situations, such as a medical emergency.


Families can send one person once a day for groceries. They can leave the city only after receiving a negative test result in the last 24 hours.


Earlier it was reported that one of the largest iPhone production plants was quarantined due to COVID-19. Despite the quarantine, the company will continue its work at the same pace. The suspension of production was avoided due to the transfer of the plant to the “closed cycle” mode. He implies that during the quarantine, Foxconn employees will not leave the factory buildings for a week.
