Drake at American Music Awards 2016: statuettes and noms

Drake could win 13 nominations at the American Music Awards 2016 but he was able to take home four ones only. In fact, 13 nominations won Michael Jackson in 80s, Drake couldn’t break this record.

Drake was the leading artist who has 13 nominations in this AMAs voting. People around the world likes his music, his appearance, his taste. And his woman, Rihanna, also was liked by Drake’s fans. Alas, the couple split but they are still colleagues and giving the joint performances time to time.

Out of 13 nominations, the Canadian singer won his first AMA of the night with Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for April’s Views.

“I want to thank the city of Toronto. And of course, I want to thank the fans,”

said Drizzy as he accepted his first award of the American Music Awards 2016.

“For our genre, I just like to keep things exciting,”

said Drake when he accepted his second statuette, the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. Finally, towards the end of the night, Aubrey hit the trifecta by earning a third AMA for Favorite Hip-Hop Song thanks to the smash hit “Hotline Bling.”

It was a long way to the glory and full Microsoft Theater where Drake got four his trophies. The rapper sang in one of his songs ‘Views already a classic’ and so far this year, he’s proven the validity of these words.

His debut album of 2016 to go triple platinum, it is enormous success! There’s no doubt the key to Views is ostentacious, genre-blending bangers. The lead single “One Dance” was Drake’s first Billboard No. 1.

Congratulations to the rapper on his big wins at the American Music Awards 2016.
